Apostle Sharlotte Carson and Pastor Marion Carson Sr. lead with a heart for people and a deep commitment to the Word of God, guiding our church to be Hearers, Believers, Receivers, and Doers through HBRD Ministries.

Their leadership reflects a passion for worship, sound biblical teaching, and lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Apostle Sharlotte Carson

Apostle Sharlotte Ulonda Carson was born on February 21 as the third of six children to Marion and Doris Carson, raised in a devout Holiness home that laid a strong spiritual foundation for her life and calling.

Ordained into ministry in 1998 under the late Bishop Antonio Johnson, she faithfully advanced from Minister to Elder, Pastor, and in 2016 was consecrated as an Apostle in the Lord’s Church. She is the visionary founder of PromiseLand Praise & Worship Center and, most recently in 2024, established Dominion Faith & Life Church, continuing her mandate to build and expand the Kingdom.

A devoted mother of six, and grandmother of eleven, Apostle Carson is known for her unwavering love for Jesus Christ and her commitment to living by the Golden Rule (Matthew 7:12). Anchored in Jeremiah 29:11, she leads with faith, integrity, and a steadfast belief in God’s divine purpose for every life she touches.

Pastor Marion Carson, Sr.

Pastor Marion Carson, Sr. was born on December 22, 1947, the baby boy of nine children born to John and Easter Jane Carson. He grew up in South Carolina, where he attended Calhoun Falls Elementary School and New Deal High School and played quarterback, proudly wearing jersey number 10.

In 1972, he surrendered his life to Christ during a tent revival. He served as Head Deacon until 1978, then answered the call to pastoral ministry and relocated to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he ministered until 1989. After returning to South Carolina in 2003, he rededicated his life to the Lord, and in 2009 he joined his daughter, Apostle Sharlotte Carson, at PromiseLand Praise & Worship Center, where he serves as lead pastor.

With more than 50 years of ministry experience, Pastor Carson is passionate about preaching God’s Word, developing leaders, and serving the community. He is also an entrepreneur who believes faith, vision, and hard work reach into every area of life. A husband and father of nine, with a village of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he enjoys cooking and just being with his family. His favorite scripture is Matthew 7:7-8, a promise that those who ask, seek, and knock will find God faithful.

Overseer Tiffany Carson, Administrator

Overseer Carson serves as Executive Church Administrator at PromiseLand Praise & Worship Center, offering strategic direction and steady oversight to ensure the ministry operates with clarity and order. With a strong foundation in administration and leadership, she helps keep the church’s daily functions organized, effective, and aligned with its purpose.

She oversees staff coordination, financial processes, facility management, communications, and ministry structure, working closely with senior leadership to bring vision into practical execution. Her leadership creates an atmosphere where pastors, ministry leaders, and volunteers are supported and equipped to serve well.

Recognized for her integrity, discernment, and servant’s heart, she is committed to strengthening the church through excellence, accountability, and thoughtful stewardship. Her dedication helps cultivate a healthy, unified environment where ministry can flourish.

Prophet Charmika Grant, Assistant Admin

Prophet Grant faithfully serves as Church Assistant Administrator at PromiseLand Praise & Worship Center, supporting the daily operations and overall mission of the ministry with excellence and organization. She assists in coordinating programs, managing communications, and providing consistent support to both leadership and congregation members to ensure the church functions smoothly.

Known for her reliability, compassion, and attention to detail, Prophet Grant plays a vital role in keeping church activities and administrative responsibilities organized and efficient. She works closely with church leadership to help carry out vision and ministry initiatives with integrity and humility. Through her faithful service and willing spirit, she continues to strengthen the ministry and serve as a blessing to the church community.

Deacon John Carson

Deacon John Carson serves faithfully at PromiseLand Praise & Worship Center, supporting the pastor and helping carry out the vision of the ministry through steady service, loyalty, and a heart for the people of God. Raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as the son of a pastor, he grew up in church with a strong spiritual foundation. Although his life journey included difficult seasons and choices that led him away from that foundation, he never let go of his faith. In time, he fully surrendered his life to God, declaring, “For God I live, and for God I die,” and committed himself to the call of God.

As a deacon, Deacon Carson helps care for the practical needs of the congregation, supports order in the house of God, and assists with ministry matters so leadership is free to focus on prayer, preaching, and spiritual oversight. He is a devoted husband and father of eight, and he strives to live as an example in character, faithfulness, and home life in accordance with 1 Timothy 3:8–13. Known for his servant’s heart, Deacon Carson plays an important role in protecting unity and strengthening the ministry through faithful service.

Minister Liz Carson, Admin Assistant

Minister Liz Carson serves as Admin Assistant at PromiseLand Praise & Worship Center. She manages the church’s website and digital communications, designs graphics and flyers, and prepares announcements, sermon summaries, and social media content.

Minister Carson came to know the Lord at seven years old at Calvary Temple in San Leandro, California. Church became her favorite place and where she was happiest. Singing, taking part in dramas, and working with children were her passions. Though she pulled away from church for a season, God never let that tug on her heart go. In 2023 she moved to North Carolina and met her husband, Deacon John Carson. They now live in Anderson, South Carolina. She is the proud mother of Natalia and has gained a family of bonus children along the way.

In October 2026, Minister Carson preached her initial sermon and was licensed as a minister under the leadership of Apostle Sharlotte Carson.
